Pippali Or Long Pepper also helps in balancing Kapha Dosha and Meda (which is updhatu of Kapha) hence, useful in reducing the weight. It can also be used in combination with other herbs like cumin seeds, honey, cinnamon, cardamom, etc.

Precautions in the use of Long Pepper (Pippali)
Although Pippali has several advantages, still precautions are needed before consuming. Long Pepper should be taken under medical supervision, and dose should not be more than 1 gm per day in powder form.
- Long pepper is not recommended for those people who are suffering from acidity, stomach ulcers, duodenal ulcers, and colitis as it may worsen the condition.
- It is not advisable to use during pregnancy up to 34 weeks. it can be used after 34 weeks of pregnancy under the guidance of medical supervision.
- It should always be taken after meals or with meals.
- The dose should not cross the limit of one gram per day
- It is better to divide this dose into three parts for three times in a day and take one-third part per time.
- It is always better to consult with a doctor before using this.
