Drinking water in between meals is usually not taken to be good, it is rather expected to drink water half hour atleast before and after the meal. But drinking in between just 1-2 gulps is not harmful as it helps in the digestion process and makings food chewing a faster process.

Hi there,
It is generally advised to drink water 2 hours before and after having a meal. This will best comply with the digestive system of our body. But yeah a sip or two of water is not harmful at all. It is suitable for making the gulping process easier.
