In this age group, the body tends to work the most and is extremely fit. The immune system and metabolism tend to be high. But, any carelessness at this age may cause you trouble at a higher age. The higher the fitness, the more beneficial it is. You may need to gain all the essential nutrients as the body's ability to absorb nutrients is maximum at this age. Following is the list of foods you should in involve in your diet:

1. Eat fresh fruits daily. Banana is rich in magnesium and phosphorus. Watermelon is best in summers as it fulfils the required content of water, vitamins and minerals.

2. Protein is essential in muscle building and cutting excess of fat. So, involve chicken, turkey, lean beef, eggs, chickpeas, soybean, kidney beans and avocado in your diet.

3. Sometimes, protein digestion and absorption is difficult. To have better digestion, you need to include high-fibre diets in your food. Fibre is found in whole wheat grains and green leafy vegetables.

4. Dairy products like milk, paneer, cottage cheese and yoghurt should be consumed but only when they are made from low-fat milk. They are rich in calcium that increases bone density. High fat from dairy products increases LDL in the body, commonly known as bad cholesterol.

5. All types of vegetables are important in meeting various vitamin and mineral content of the body but especially, green, dark-leafy vegetables. 

6. In the summer season, many people face dehydration which makes the body weak. Drink lots of water every day to keep the body hydrated.
