It i simportant to ensure that children are into reading from a very early age. This would led to the enhancement of thier cognitive power and also it would develop interest in them to participate in self-learning. One of the thing, that I believe that could be incorporated in their reading coud be fairy tales & of super heroes. Such stories from a very tender age would provide them with the sense of responsibility, Ownership, & also helps them to ne morally motivated and do the right thing. You can also engage your kids with some fun activites that would be really insightful. This would surely pave the base of learning & help them grow in life in the long run.
