There aren't any serious negative health impacts of breastfeeding on mother, however, there are certain things you might want to know if you choose to breastfeed:
1. You might not be able to return to work for a long period. If you choose to breastfeed your baby you will be required to stay with him throughout the day during the few initial months.
2. Your breasts might become asymmetrical. It is something that many women face during the time they breastfeed. However, everything goes back to normal after you stop breastfeeding.
3. You might have sore nipples and breast as your baby stays latched to your nipple and sometimes also holds the breasts pinching into the skin. If it is too painful you should check for lip and tongue tie in your baby.
Apart from this, it depends on you if you want to breastfeed or not. If you don't feel comfortable doing so, it is perfectly okay. You can also pump the breast-milk and feed the baby from the bottle if you feel uncomfortable feeding from the breast directly.
